"Xora GPS TimeTrack will help us reduce overtime expenses by more than $140,000 this year. Even after we take into account the cost of the Nextel phones and Xora service, we will still save well over $100,000. I can't say that about any other product or service I am using."

Gearworks Extends Appmosphere™ with Enterprise-Class Integration for the Mobile Mainstream

Partnership with Cast Iron Systems enables “configuration, not coding” integration for hundreds of business applications to mobile devices on major U.S. carriers

MINNEAPOLIS — Oct. 21, 2008 — Gearworks, a leading provider of location-based mobile business applications, today announced the immediate availability of on-demand mobile integration to Oracle, SAP, Salesforce.com and hundreds of other business applications through a strategic partnership with Cast Iron Systems, the leader in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) integration.

Gearworks’ Appmosphere Mobile Integration Solutions powered by Cast Iron complements Gearworks’ market-leading Web services integration toolkit to deliver, for the first time, enterprise-class integration of back-office applications to mobile devices — from mass-market phones to RIM Blackberry and Windows Mobile devices — across multiple U.S. carrier networks.

Enabled by “configuration, not coding” approach and pre-built integration templates that connect and translate between the enterprise and mobile applications, integrations, powered by Cast Iron, can be completed in less than 30 days and are easily maintained. Further, Gearworks can host the integrations in its secure, carrier-class production environment, reducing deployment time and ongoing IT costs. The simplified approach enables Gearworks to dramatically simplify integration pricing and, for most integration solutions, charge customers a setup fee of only $500 and a modest monthly subscription fee per application integrated.

“Gearworks’ etrace mobile workforce management solution has produced significant returns for Lloyd’s by helping streamline the activities and management of our mobile workers,”said Stephanie Lloyd, owner of Lloyd’s Construction. “This new mobile integration solutionallows us to integrate and automate our back-office accounting system with greater speed, depth and precision than we would ever have been able to do ourselves.”

“The ability to integrate mobile resource management capabilities and information with a customer’s back-office system is crucial to optimizing the value of both the customer’s in-house and field-based applications,” said Brent Iadarola, global research director of mobile and wireless for Frost & Sullivan. “Gearworks’ aggressive pricing simplification coupled with the speed and simplicity of integrating through Appmosphere, and Cast Iron’s integration appliance, will accelerate the time-to-success for customers deploying mobile workforce solutions.”

“This partnership highlights how leading SaaS providers are using integration as a strategic weapon,” said Ken Comee, chief executive officer for Cast Iron Systems. “Gearworks’ Appmosphere Mobile Integration Solutions — powered by Cast Iron — enable customers to easily and rapidly move data on mobile devices through any wireless carrier and further strengthen the value of Gearworks’ market leading mobile application platform.”

“Companies using traditional mobile middleware to integrate enterprise applications for their mobile workforce face complex coding, consuming months of precious IT resources and substantial up-front costs,” said Todd Krautkremer, president and CEO for Gearworks. “Through our partnership with Cast Iron, Gearworks rewrites the rules with configuration not coding through the Appmosphere platform to mobilize enterprises in weeks, not months, at an incredibly compelling SaaS price point.”
