Software Engineer (Server Technologies)

Position Type: Full-time

Job Description:

Design, develop, and optimize server side components of our large-scale hosted service.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop highly scalable web applications using Java, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML and Oracle technologies
  • Participate in peer and lead code-review sessions to identify potential problem areas and suggest alternative solutions
  • Produce high quality code without much supervision and on-time delivery
  • Support deployment of applications into production and resolve production issues by reproducing and determining the root cause

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • B. Tech / M. Tech in Computer Science or related field from a reputed university with good academic record
  • 1-3 years of progressive industry experience
  • 1+ years software product development experience in Java
  • Have high level design skills and a broad understanding of various technologies
  • Strong experience in multi-tier e-Business applications using J2EE (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, WebServices), HTML, XML, AJAX, JavaScript, and Oracle
  • Strong understanding of MVC and Object Oriented development concepts
  • Experience with Spring and Hibernate
  • Strong understanding of database design and SQL development
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Disciplined self-starter, able to be highly productive both working alone and in close collaboration within a team

Qualifications and Skills Desired:

  • 1+ years software product development experience in Java
  • Understanding of Web 2.0 technologies and standards
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and multitask
  • Experience building high-performance large-scale systems
