Sr. Architect, High Performance SaaS Applications

Job Description:

You will have a hands-on, technical leadership role for the development of the next generation of Xora’s Mobile Workforce Management applications.  You will utilize your recent experience designing and developing highly scalable SaaS applications to drive Xora’s next generation technical strategy and system architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • BSCS/MSCS or equivalent with at least 8 years of software development experience developing high performance, scalable web-based applications.
  • Strong server side Java experience.
  • Very strong DB experience (Oracle, MySQL), with emphasis on performance and scalability of web based applications.
  • Understanding of mixed transactional and analytical applications.
  • Strong object oriented and data modeling experience.
  • Strong understanding of the entire web and mobile application stack.
  • Experience with enterprise-class SaaS applications.
  • Knowledge of modern highly scalable web architectures including cloud technologies.
  • Experience with operational issues and demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between software architecture and physical deployment issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Project management and team leadership experience within a small, dynamic company:   pragmatic judgment, “killer instinct” to get things done, etc.
  • Team player and a proven ability to work with others in developing solutions.
  • Ability to motivate those around you by your own contribution, professionalism, leadership and teamwork.
