Technical Lead (Server Technologies)

Job Description:

Lead development of server side Web Application components.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design and develop highly scalable web applications using Java, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML and Oracle technologies
  • Participate in and lead code-review sessions to identify potential problem areas and suggest alternative solutions
  • Produce high quality code without much supervision and on-time delivery
  • Support deployment of applications into production and resolve production issues by reproducing and determining the root cause
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prototypes for integrating latest technology in the Xora product
  • Prepare technical specifications to document implementation details of web application code
  • Mentor other team members team members on product and technology front

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • BTech/MTech in Computer Science or related field from a reputed university with good academic record
  • 4-8 years of progressive industry experience
  • 4+ years software product development experience in Java
  • Have a high level of design skills and a broad understanding of various technologies
  • Strong experience in N-tier e-Business applications using J2EE (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, WebServices), HTML, AJAX, JavaScript and Oracle
  • Strong understanding of MVC and Object Oriented development concepts
  • Strong experience with frameworks like Hibernate, Spring and Struts
  • Strong understanding of database design and SQL development
  • Working knowledge of modern web technologies including cloud based APIs and protocols (SOAP, REST, JSON)
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, leadership, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Disciplined self-starter, able to be highly productive both working alone and in close collaboration within a team

Qualifications and Skills Desired:

  • 5+ years software product development experience in Java
  • Understanding of Web 2.0 technologies and standards
  • Experience building high-performance large-scale systems
